Useful Tips
While using the shredder possibly there may be some situations or problems for which we present below
some guidelines:
Issue
Probable cause
Solution
Machine blockage
Overhead power supply. Because
of this, the motor cannot maintain
necessary rotation and the waste
accumulates within the machine (the
persistence of its use may burn out
the motor by overload).
Unplug the unit and wait stopping the motor. Wipe
excess of waste into the machine, start the motor,
wait reach maximum rotation and restart work by
controlling power of the machine, so it should not
require more than the capacity of the motor can
withstand.
Low production
1.
Insufficient power of the
machine.
2.
Rotation of the machine below
of the specification.
3. Moist product.
1.
Check the power supply so as to be continuous,
but not too much not to cause blockage.
2.
Make sure the purchased and installed motor
in the machine (shredders sold without motor)
corresponds to what is requested (sticker on the
machine). If rotation is less than the specified
the hammers will take long time for crushing the
product and therefore reduces production.
3. It should only shred dry products; wet products
can obstruct the outlet nozzle.
Irregular product
cutting
1.
Lack of sharp blades.
2.
Worn counter-knife.
1. Sharp the blades as shown in maintenance item
(p. 56).
2.
Proceed as described in the item of maintenance
(p. 57).
Poor quality of
shredded products
1. Worn or damaged hammers.
2.
Blocked hammers.
1.
Change the extremities of hammers or replace
with new, proceeding according to maintenance
item (. P 55).
2.
Be sure to clean the machine whenever you
finish shred green products, especially before
long stops.
Difficulty starting
the motor
1.
Excess of waste product inside
the machine.
2. Voltage drop on the power grid.
1. Unplug the unit and wait stopping the motor.
Wipe excess material inside the machine, start
the motor, wait until you get maximum rotation
and restart the job.
2.
Check the condition of the power supply
(electrician).
