After use, remove debris from equipment.
Keeping the crusher clean contributes to its proper
functioning.
For cleaning use neutral detergent and a damp
cloth. Do not use a water jet with pressure to avoid
damaging the crusher and lose warranty.
Always do the cleaning or maintainance with the
engine off and the disc stopped. Remove the spark
plug cable from the combustion engine and unplug
the machine, when with electric engine.
Hammers change
The hammers installed in the disc have the
possibility of being used on both sides,
disassembling and turning the disc 180°.
When there is wear of the hammer on one side
and as a consequence a bad quality of shredded
products, you should turn the hammers, as
described below:
Remove the cover with the upper hopper (1) and the
screws (2).
Remove the side cover (the cover with access to the
blades) (3) as shown in Figure 7.
Turn the disc by hand until the hammers shaft is in
the service port (4) as in Figure 8.
Remove the belt guard (5) and side cover (6) as
Figure 9.
Loosen the shaft retaining rings (7) from the
hammers (8) then remove the shaft as shown in
Figure 9.
Remove the hammers and replace them turned. Be
careful to replace the washers and try to observe the
distance of the spacers (9) and close attention to the
assembly sequence as Figure 10.
After turn the hammers, set the shaft through the
clamping ring.
Turn the disc until the next hammers' shaft and
repeat the above instructions.
After turning all hammers, side cover to access
blades, side cover access to the hammers shaft
and belt guard must be installed again.
After assembling the cutter set and turning on the
crusher, if excessive vibration or noise is observed,
switch the machine off and contact a TRAPP
Technical Assistant.
