Tagging from the fiber NIC (N-GXE-POE-xx-01) is an option provided through the use of the EPC
(Ethernet Packet Controller) Utility, N-POE-EPC, which can be downloaded from the Transition
Networks
website
(login required). This utility is required for applications that use VoIP phones that
don't tag traffic, but whose traffic needs to be VLAN tagged.
