14.3 Spare parts
14.3.1 List of spare parts
The following replacement accessories can be
procured and mounted:
• Equipped wire rope (to be mounted by a
technician only).
• Power connector (Fig. 1, item 20).
The power connector must only be installed
by an electrician.
• Adjustable limit stop lever kit (Fig. 1, item 9)
(to be mounted by a technician only).
• Control unit (Fig. 1, item 15).
The control unit must only be installed by an
electrician.
DANGER:
Before any intervention on
a replacement accessory, wire rope included,
the operator must first remove the load and
shut down the winch.
IMPORTANT:
After installing a repla -
cement accessory, switch on the winch and
perform a functional test before using the
winch as indicated in the table in section 14.1.
14.3.2 Procedure for disassembly and
installation of wire rope
The wire rope must only be replaced by a
technician.
The wedge socket with wire rope is shown in
figure 13.

5) Wire rope loop
6) Wire rope end
7) Drum flange hole
8) Wire rope
9) Plate tip
10) Limit stop lever opening

Tools:
• 1 flat head screwdriver
Procedure for disassembly of wire rope
IMPORTANT:
When replacing the
wire rope, appropriate wire rope handling
safety gloves should be worn.
• Fully unwind the wire rope by acting on
the control unit (Fig. 1, item 15).
• Set the winch so that it bears on its
carrying handle (Fig. 1, item 11).
During this operation, be careful to protect the
clamp fastening studs (Fig. 1, item 13) to
avoid any damage to the threads.
• Place the wedge socket (Fig. 13) in
position by momentarily pressing the
control button on the control unit (Fig. 1,
item 13).
• Shut down the winch and disconnect the
electrical power supply.
• Remove the wire rope as shown in
figure 14:
a) Insert the tip of the screwdriver between
the wire rope loop (Fig. 13, item 5) and
the taper plate bearing piece (Fig. 13,
item 2).
b) Turn the screwdriver to apply pressure
in order to release the wire rope.
c) Remove the end of the wire rope
(Fig. 13, item 6) from the wedge socket
(Fig. 13, item 3) using the screwdriver.
d) Remove the taper plate.
e) Pull the wire rope, sliding it in the wedge
socket (Fig. 13, item 3) and the drum
flange hole (Fig. 13, item 7).
• Remove the wire rope.
Disassembly completed
Procedure for installing new wire rope per
figure 14.
Start by running the end of the wire rope
through the opening of the limit stop lever
(Fig. 13, item 10), then sliding it around the drum.
f) Insert the end of the wire rope in the
drum flange hole (Fig. 13, item 7).
