greater the closer you are to the transmitter. Listen for small
changes in the signal strength (headphones can be very help-
ful to detect the bearing of maximum signal strength). If you
know the orientation of the transmitter antenna, rotate the
receiver antenna in the same axis. If you are not sure of the
transmitter antenna orientation, experiment with various
antenna orientations (parallel to ground, perpendicular to
ground, 45 degrees from perpendicular, etc.) to determine
which provides the more precise bearing.
