Connect the Extender to the Internet
Connect the extender to your router
Power on the extender, and connect it to your router’s Ethernet port via an
Ethernet cable.
Change the working mode to AP
Connect your computer to the extender
’s wireless network.
Launch a web browser and log into
http://tplinkrepeater.net
, click
Mode
on the top right corner, select
Access Point
and click
Save
.
The extender will switch to AP mode and reboot automatically.
After rebooting, you may need to reconnect to the extender
’s network
and log in again.
Customize the SSID and Password (Optional)
Go to
Settings > Wireless > Wireless Settings
page, customize the
SSID and password of the extender, and click
Save
.
Network Name (SSID):
Customize an easy-to remember SSID for
your AP
’s wireless network.
Security:
Select the security type.
WPA/WPA2 - Personal
is
recommended.
