Replacing the Battery

(Alkaline Battery Type)

Preliminary notes on replacing the battery

If the battery inside the battery box is drained, the unit will
flash in 2-second cycles. When it switches to 4-second
cycles, the flushing function will stop.

Battery replacement method

WARNING

Prohibited

Use only alkaline batteries

Using an oxyride dry-cell battery or the like may cause fire or malfunctions.

Do not pull the battery box electric wires

Doing so may disconnect the wires or terminals, or cause a malfunction or electrical
shock.

Because the flushing function stops as soon as the photoelectric sensor starts flashing in
4-second cycles, refer to the following instructions and replace the battery immediately.

When the photoelectric sensor starts flashing in 2-second cycles, replace the battery quickly
with the following procedure.

Battery replacement method (continued)

Remove the battery box, then remove the
waterproof cover.

Place the battery box inside the controller.

Remove the spent alkaline battery, replace
the battery, then attach the waterproof cover.

Return the controller to its original
location, then tighten the screws.

[When the replacement indicator
(4-second cycles) is flashing]

Can be used within several seconds of connecting
a battery.

[When the replacement indicator
(4-second cycles) is not flashing]

Cannot be used for 5 minutes after connecting the battery.

For 10 minutes after 5 minutes have passed after
connecting a battery, the lamp flashes during photoelectric
sensor detection to enable the detection status to be
confirmed. After this, the LED does not flash even during
detection.

Remove the screws, then lower the
controller down.
