1.1 Functions and Characteristics of the TNB
TNB module is an extended module for connecting the Unified Controller
Vm series to the information and monitoring control network TC-net 100.
TNB module uses optical fiber cable and provides both single bus and dual
redundant bus.

TNB21 : Optical fiber cable with single bus module.

TNB22 : Optical fiber cable with dual redundant bus module
The maximum of TNB21/TNB22 module that can be installed in the slot of
single(BUB11)/multi(BUB21)-base of Vm series Unified Controller are 3
and 1, respectively.
Characteristics of the TNB
Openness
The TC-net 100 is a network for monitoring control that maintains the
openness of the 100 Mbps Ethernet and has the collision avoidance
function and deterministic real time responsiveness.
Communication services
The communication services of TC-net 100 include scan transmission
(cyclic broadcast transmission) that transmits control data periodically.
Scan transmission has 3 modes; high, medium and low, which can be
assigned according to the data update cycle to ensure deterministic real
time responsiveness.
High reliability
Highly reliable system configuration is available with redundancy of the
transmission path.
