Check 3 The IRT tests the system board. When the IRT detects an error, the system stops or an
error message appears. Refer to the messages in Table 2-2 to determine which test
item failed.
If one of the following (a) through (r) error messages is displayed, replace the system
board.
If error message (s) is displayed, go to the Keyboard Troubleshooting Procedures in
Section 2.7.
If error message (t) or (u) is displayed, go to the HDD Troubleshooting Procedures in
Section 2.6.
If error message (v) is displayed, go to the FDD Troubleshooting Procedures in Sec-
tion 2.5.
If none of these error messages appears, go to Procedure 2.
