General
This section explains how to disassemble and reassemble the T6400 to replace the Field Replace-
able Units (FRUs). It is not always necessary to remove all the FRUs in order to replace one. The
chart below is a guide to which FRUs need to be removed so you can replace the one that is causing
the T6400 to operate abnormally. Always start by removing the AC Power Cord, then follow the
lines on the chart below to the FRU you are removing.

Before You Begin
Review the procedures in this section before you begin disassembling the T6400. Familiarize
yourself with the steps required to disassemble and reassemble the T6400. Begin each procedure
by removing the AC power cord.

Do not disassemble the T6400 unless it is operating abnormally.
2.
Use only the correct and approved tools.
3.
Make sure the working environment is free from the following elements whether you are
using or storing the T6400:
