4 Replacement Procedures

4.23 Display mask/LCD unit/FL inverter

Installing the Display mask/LCD unit/FL Inverter

The following describes the procedure for installing the display mask, LCD unit and FL
inverter (See Figure 4-35 to 4-37).

1.

Fix the

LCD supports

(left and right) to the LCD unit with the following

screws

.

S-FLAT HEAD screw

NOTE:

The shape of the right LCD support for 14.1-inch LCD is different from the one
of the left. Check “R” (right) or “L” (left) marks on the LCD support.

2.

Stand the

LCD unit

on the display cover and connect the

LCD cable

to the connector

on the back of the LCD. Stick the

glass tape

on the LCD cable.

3.

Fix the LCD unit with the following

screws

.

4.

Connect the

FL cable

and

HV cable

to the FL inverter.

5.

Insert one

insulator

under the LCD unit (over the FL cable) and stick the other one to

the FL inverter.

6.

Secure the

FL inverter

with the following

screw

Install the

display mask

and engage the latches.

NOTE:

When installing the display mask, ensure there is no gap between the display

mask and the display cover.

8.

Secure the

display mask

with the following

screws

and stick two

mask tapes
