2. Lift the panel up and adjust it to the best viewing angle for you.
Turning on the power
This section describes how to turn on the power.
1. If a USB floppy disc drive is connected, make sure the drive is empty - if a
disc is in the drive, press the eject button to remove it.
2. Open the display panel.
3. Press the computer's power button and then release it.

Starting up for the first time
When you first turn on the power, the computer's initial screen is the
Windows
®
XP Startup Screen Logo. Follow the on-screen directions for
each screen. During setup, you can click the
Back
button to return to the
previous screen.
Be sure to read the
Windows
®
Operating System End User License
Agreement
carefully.
Use reasonable care when opening and closing the display panel. Opening
it vigorously or slamming it shut could damage the computer.
After you turn on the power for the first time, do not turn it off until you have
set up the operating system. Refer to the section
in this chapter.
