Connect the modem cable to the modem board.
14.
Install the modem board. Be careful not to damage pins on the
connectors or to pinch the modem cable when you connect the modem
board to the system board.
15.
Secure the modem board with two screws.
16.
Rotate the keyboard into place. Insert six small tongues on the front
edge of the keyboard into corresponding notches on the computer. Be
sure the ribbon cable lies flat and is not pinched.
17.
Secure the keyboard with two screws.
18.
Set the keyboard brace into its groove and press down to secure the
latches.
19.
Turn the computer upside down and replace the battery pack (refer to
Chapter 6,
Power and Power-Up Modes
).
20.
Turn the computer on and execute Hardware Setup to check the total
memory.
Removing memory module
To remove the memory module, make sure the computer is in boot
mode then:
1.
Be sure the power is off, the battery is removed and all cables are
disconnected from the computer, then open the keyboard and remove
the modem board as described in the previous section.
2.
Gently press out on the latches. One end of the module will pop up.
