Electrical work
WARNING
1
Using the speci
fi
ed wires, ensure that the
wires are connected, and
fi
x wires securely
so that the external tension to the wires
does not affect the connecting part of the
terminals.
Incomplete connection or
fi
xation may cause a
fi
re, etc.
2
Be sure to connect the earth wire.
(grounding work)
Incomplete grounding may lead to electric
shock.
Do not connect ground wires to gas pipes, water
pipes, lightning rods or ground wires for telephone
wires.
3
The appliance shall be installed in
accordance with national wiring
regulations.
Capacity shortages of the power circuit or an
incomplete installation may cause an electric
shock or
fi
re.
CAUTION
y
An installation fuse must be used for the power
supply line of this air conditioner.
y
Incorrect / incomplete wiring may lead to an
electrical
fi
re or smoke.
y
Prepare an exclusive power supply for the air
conditioner.
y
This product can be connected to the mains power.
Fixed wire connections:
A switch that disconnects all poles and has a
contact separation of at least 3 mm must be
incorporated in the
fi
xed wiring.
y
Be sure to use the cord clamps attached to the
product.
y
Do not damage or scratch the conductive core or
inner insulator of the power and Indoor / Outdoor
connecting wires when peeling them.
y
Use the power and Indoor / Outdoor connecting
wires with speci
fi
ed thicknesses, speci
fi
ed types
and protective devices required.
y
Remove the service panel, and you can see electric
parts on the front side.
y
A conduit pipe can be installed through the hole for
wiring. If the hole size does not
fi
t the wiring pipe to
be used, drill the hole again to an appropriate size.
y
Be sure to clamp the power wires and Indoor /
Outdoor connecting wires with a banding band along
the connecting pipe so that the wires do not touch
the compressor or discharge pipe.
(The compressor and the discharge pipe become
hot.)
Furthermore, be sure to secure these wires with the
pipe valve
fi
xing plate and cord clamps stored in the
electric parts box.

Connect the Indoor / Outdoor connecting wires to
the identical terminal number on the terminal block
of each unit.
Incorrect connection may cause a failure.
For the air conditioner, connect a power wire with the
following speci
fi
cations.

How to wire
1. Connect the power supply wires and Indoor /
Outdoor connecting wires to the terminal block of
the electrical control box.
2. Tighten the screws of the terminal block, connect
the wires matching the terminal numbers (Do not
apply tension to the connecting section of the
terminal block.)
y
When connecting the Indoor / Outdoor connecting
wires to the outdoor unit terminal, prevent water
from coming into the outdoor unit.
y
Insulate the unsheathed cords (conductors) with
electrical insulation tape. Process them so that they
do not touch any electrical or metal parts.
y
For Indoor / Outdoor connecting wires, do not use a
wire joined to another on the way.
Use wires long enough to cover the entire length.
