Alarm confirmation method and alarm priority
When an abnormality occurs in the process, a process alarm will be reported to OIS function.
This alarm is made based on the alarm grade.
The display style of a process alarm depends on an “Alarm confirmation method”.
“Alarm confirmation method” is specified in each tag. You can specify one method from
Type A, Type B, and Type C for each tag.
(1)Type A (It is recovered by the LO operation)
Blinking stops when CNF operation is done.
A state of alarm is held until LO operation is done even if it is recovered.
(2)Type B (It copes with the condition of the Process tag)
An unconfirmed alarm is held until CNF operation is carried out even if it is recovered.
(3)Type C (A change in a signal becomes an alarm)
It becomes an unconfirmed state of alarm at the time of the alarm occurrence, and becomes an
unconfirmed state of normality at the time of the recovery.
An alarm is confirmed by the CNF operation.
Refer to Appendix.1 “Alarm confirmation method” for the detailed movement of each alarm
confirmation method.
Alarm grade gives a grade to the alarm corresponding to the importance of the process alarm.
There are four kinds of “Warning”, “Minor ALM”, “Medium ALM”, and “Major ALM” for the
alarm grade.
Alarm grade can be registered independently in all the alarms which a tag has. Alarm priority
depends on the alarm grade and the confirmation status of the alarm.
