Timer, Time display, On-screen call
Timer
The Timer is especially useful if you
want the TV to turn itself on or off after a
selected period of time. For example: If
you want the set to turn itself on in 30
minutes and watch programme 3,
simply follow the procedure indicated.
Activation of the Timer is indicated by
the green “ON-timer indicator”, on the
front of the TV (see page 10).
To select the timer menu:
Press the MENU button, then
press the or button
repeatedly to display the
TIMER menu.
Press the or button to
highlight the required timer
mode (On timer or Off timer).
Press the number buttons (0-9)
to set the ON or OFF delay
time, e.g. on in 30 minutes and
programme 3 selected.
Press EXIT to exit the menu. When setting the On timer, press
the or button to select the On timer position and enter
the programme position number you want to watch. Set the
Standby mode by pressing the button if you do not watch
the TV.
Time display (with the TELETEXT service only)
To select the time display:
If you press the
/
button whilst
watching a normal TV broadcast, you
will see a time display from the
broadcaster. It will remain on the
screen for about 5 seconds.
Displaying on-screen information
To display the on-screen information:
Press the CALL button to
display the following on-screen
information.
The information will disappear
in 8 seconds.
• Programme position or
external input mode selected
• Programme skip on/off
information
• Station label (if set)
• Mono/Stereo/Dual audio
status
To erase the display instantly,
press the CALL button again.
