Installing the Lever
Parts needed for this procedure:
1 Lever
1 Knob
1 Nut (5/16 inch)
Procedure
1. Remove the cap from the control shaft ( Figure
13 ).

3. Nut (5/16 inch)
2. Install the knob onto the lever ( Figure 13 ).
3. Use the nut (5/16 inch) to secure the lever to the
control shaft (
Figure 13 ).
4. Torque the nut to 19 to 24 N∙m (14 to 18 ft-lb).

Adjust the traction cable to maintain a proper gap
distance between the friction disc and the pressure
plate; refer to the controls system maintenance
section of your machine

Installing the Control Cover
No Parts Required
Procedure
Refer to the illustrations in 2 Removing the Control
Cover (page 2) for this procedure.
1. Use the previously-removed screws to install
the control cover.
2. Connect the wire-harness connector to the hour
meter.
