3.4.5 Floor Preparation

Warning !
Take into account the admissible surface load and that produced by
various machine equipment.
Specific loads per surface unit are as follows:

DECO 20a

The machine needs no levelling.
−
The machine rests on three Permanent Support Plates E, i.e. one front
plate and two back plates, and an Adjustable Support Plate F. Plate F
supports the front left corner of the lathe.
−
The machine can be fixed on the floor with three screws by running them
through the holes in three Support Plates E. The screws merely fix the
machine to the floor and must not support its weight.
−
The floor at the four support points must be:
hard,
stable,
vibration-free,
& perfectly level.

Set loose the screw of Adjustable

The screw is delivered with acces-

Put the machine on its other three
Permanent Support Plates E.

Prepare the three holes for fixing
the machine.
Fixing
No embedding required

Fix the machine on the floor with
three screws through the holes in
three Support Plates E.
