The signal tones for successfully acknowledging toll collection can
be deactivated for toll roads in Germany. In Austria, toll collection
must always be signalled using the tones, which cannot therefore
be switched off.
In the “SIGNAL TONES” menu, the acoustic signal tones of the On-
Board Unit can be switched on or off for toll roads in Germany.

If your On-Board Unit is authorised for toll collection in Germany
and Austria, the operating mode switches automatically to the re-
spective service of the country that you are in after you cross a bor-
der. You can see the available services on your On-Board Unit in the
“Services” menu.

Warnings and error messages are still signalled acoustically by the
On-Board Unit in all situations even when signal tones are switched
off.
