Countermeasures for Steam Locking
A lock release valve (model: LR3) can be added afterwards. The S series has a plug in
the cover that can be removed to allow an LR3 lock release valve to be installed to
alleviate this problem.

X-element
A special H-type X-element is used for the S series (a B-type X-element is equipped
on the Standard J3S-X). This X-element is for venting air not only at batch run startup,
but also during operation, preventing temperature drops. In addition, it ensures secure
sealing.

Installation of the Blowdown Piping
A drain plug at the bottom of the body is equipped as standard. By removing the plug
and installing an automatic or manual valve, condensate blowdown can be carried out
when the steam-using equipment experiences a temperature drop.
