Manual Flow Control via Qsys
The Qsys CONTROL menu item allows the flow to be manual controlled at the specified
flow rate. This is useful if you need to check the motor for operation after servicing or for
flow checks.
Manual Flow Control via Pdif
The Pdif CONTROL menu item allows the flow to be controlled at the specified orifice
differential pressure. This is useful in testing the most basic flow control loop as it
eliminates the dependency of all but the Pdif sensor and calibration. If a system is
malfunctioning under Qsys CONTROL, but operates correctly with Pdif CONTROL, then
this is an indication that something is wrong with the calibration of Qsys or the calibration or
sensor of Tamb, Tcjc, or Pamb.
Diagnosing the AC Line Frequency
The AC FREQ menu item displays the AC Line frequency measured by the unit. The unit
uses this measurement in the control loop for brush type motors. If this frequency does not
closely match the specification of the motor being used, then the motor will not operate
correctly. In addition, this value should be fairly stage varying no more than 1 Hz. If larger
variations are observed, then the power being supplied to the unit may not be stable and
could result in flow instability.
