Internal ring pattern
In this menu, it is set whether or not the ringing signal sequence for internal calls at
the analogue extensions should be different from that of incoming external calls. The
external call rhythm is "1sec. ringing / 4 sec. pause“.
DECT-Z 500
In order to connect the DECT-extension “DECT-Z 500” to the telephone system, it is
necessary to create a serial connection (RS 232) between the DECT-extension and
the telephone system. This connection is required to allow the transmission of con-
nection data (e. g. CLIP information). Normally, this RS 232 interface is used for a di-
alling-in process via a modem. Therefore, this modification has to be set accordingly.
This is done through the configuration user interface or via the key code
PIN
at the extensions. The interface can be reset to modem operation by
means of the key sequence
PIN
.
Your DECT-Z 500 system can be configured directly by means of the telephone sys-
tem or via the PC-tool included. When implementing the configuration via the tele-
phone system, the programming mode has to be activated in the first place by enter-
ing the key code
PIN
. In this case, the web configuration must not be car-
ried out via the RS232 interface (required for the DECT-Z 500 connection).
Port assignment
To connect to the telephone system, your DECT-Z 500 base station is provided with 8
analogue ports (port 1 – 8). These ports correspond to potential handsets 1 - 8. Con-
nect the ports of the base station to the analogue ports of your telephone system.
Next you can determine the assignment between the analogue ports (port 1 – 8) and
the ports of the DECT-Z 500 base station based on the connection between the base
station and the telephone system. For ports that are currently not required, select “---
”.
