TigerTouch is a more convenient control system for the TigerSaw Miter. TigerTouch software allows control of both pushing and
mitering motions from a single tablet, enabling the TigerSaw Miter to process lists of parts.
This manual will discuss basic TigerTouch operation as well as topics specific to the TigerSaw Miter. TigerTouch operation is
covered more extensively in the TigerTouch User’s Guide, available at
https://www.tigerstop.com/support/manuals/
List operation in TigerTouch uses the .tiger file format. Lists can be converted into the .tiger file format using TigerLink 6
software. TigerLink 6 operation is discussed in more detail in the TigerLink 6 Installation Guide at
https://www.tigerstop.com/support/manuals/
When TigerTouch opens, it will attempt to communicate with previously connected
machinery. If successful, then the program will open directly to the Move screen
(
).
Otherwise, TigerTouch will attempt to connect to new electronics for the first time.
1. Tap the [OK] button to begin.
•
Both amplifiers must be connected to the tablet and powered on.
2. TigerTouch will display all discovered serial numbers.
3. Check the boxes for the serial number of the mitering amplifier
and the serial number of the positioning amplifier.
4. Touch the [OK] button to confirm.
TigerTouch can be closed at any time by tapping “Exit” in the upper right corner.

List Requirements
For conversion to .tiger files, TigerLink 6 imposes the following conditions on input lists.
•
Input files must contain only simple text.
•
Text is delimited into columns with a specified character (e.g. comma or semicolon).
•
Each line (excluding headers) contains the same number of columns in the same order.
•
The file must contain a column specifying the part lengths.
•
For automated mitering, the mitering angles must be specified in two additional columns.
Other frequently included columns include quantity, material, profile, and part name, but none of these are required.
One common file format that satisfies these requirements is comma-separated values (.csv).
