ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

13-37

Depending on whether your particular motor home has a Dometic refrigerator with an optional ice maker or not, there
are some steps to be taken in winterizing the optional ice maker associated with that refrigerator. For the optional ice
maker, the proper steps to be taken are these:

Dometic Refrigerator Ice Maker (optional)

1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.

2. Locate the water supply shut off valve and turn off the water supply.

3. Disconnect the water supply line at the refrigerator and drain supply line completely.

4. Locate ice maker fill tube at the rear of the refrigerator and follow the water line down to the water valve.

5. Remove any covers if necessary.

6. Disconnect water line from water valve and drain water from line and valve. Use a small pan to catch water.

7. Remove water filter cartridge (if applicable.) NOTE: Reinstall a new water filter cartridge when refrigerator is put

back into service.
