e. Record the difference in water temperature from the beginning of the test to
the end of the test. The temperature rise indicates the power output for the
microwave. 8º F is the minimum acceptable temperature rise.

Door Interlock Switch Operation: With the door open, the lights inside the
microwave oven should be ON. When the microwave oven door is closed,
the lights should turn OFF. NOTE: The lights will be ON when the door is
closed and the unit is in operation.

Control Panel Operation: The On/Off, Plus and Minus buttons must operate
correctly.

Altitude Switch Check
(Optional Check)
1.
The Altitude Switch Test Port is located on the rear panel of the
Microwave Oven. (Refer to Figure 1 (Sheet 2 of 4) of this manual for
the location of the Port.) Gain Access to the Altitude Switch Test Port
per instructions from the Aircraft Manufacturer.
2.
Connect suitable calibrated Vacuum source to the Altitude Switch Test
Port.
3.
Apply 556 mmHg of Vacuum to the test port to simulate the altitude of
8,400 feet. With water in a microwave dish inside of the Microwave
Oven, apply power and start the Microwave. Result: Microwave Oven
heats water.
4.
Turn Microwave Oven OFF and Release Vacuum.
5.
Apply 523 mmHG of Vacuum to simulate the altitude of 10,100 feet.
With water in a microwave safe dish inside of the Microwave Oven,
apply power and start the Microwave. Result: Microwave Oven does
not heat water. Err 3 is displayed (automatically resets when vacuum
is removed).
6.
Remove Vacuum source from Microwave Oven.
