Refer to the Testing and Troubleshooting,
Section 3.A.6, Interlock Switch Safety
Test. If interlock circuits do not function
correctly, one or more switches may need
adjustment.
1. Adjust by loosening
mounting hardware
and moving switch
assembly to improve
actuation.
2a. If switch is
suspected of being
stuck open, check
continuity across
switch when switch is
in the closed position.
If greater than 10
ohms, replace switch.
2b. With switch in
open position, check
continuity across
switch. If less than 10
ohms, replace switch.
WARNING: The door interlock circuit is an inherent safety feature of the microwave oven.
When adjusting the interlock switch actuation, care MUST be taken to ensure that all
switches work correctly. Refer to the Testing and Troubleshooting, Section 3.A.6, Interlock
Switch Safety Test.
