DANGER
RISK OF ACCIDENT DUE TO INSUFFICIENT EQUIPMENT FOR USE ON PUBLIC ROADS AT DUSK OR IN THE
DARK!
Your bike comes with a kit consisting of a front and rear light, spoke reflectors and a bell.
• If you want to use your bike on public roads, you must fit a front and rear light, a white reflector that acts
forward, a red reflector that acts backward and spoke reflectors. The white and red reflectors are not part of the
scope of delivery.
• Only after mounting the reflectors and the lights, your bike may be used on public roads at dusk or in the dark.
If pedals are fitted retrospectively, make sure that they have yellow reflectors that act forward and backward.
• These regulations are for the use on public roads in Germany. If the bicycle is used in another country, the
requirements applicable there must be observed.
DANGER
RISK OF ACCIDENT DUE TO SUDDEN TOTAL FAILURE OF PRE-DAMAGED COMPONENTS!
A crash or unplanned riding manoeuvres can pre-damage components of your bike unnoticed. Even though you
might not immediately notice those damages, it is always possible that pre-damaged components deform or
break while riding.
• Regularly check your components for damages.
• Components that are subject to high stress must be regularly replaced and checked by a competent bicycle
mechanic.
2.2 THE RIDER’S DUTY OF CARE
Following the instructions specified in this user manual does not absolve the riders from their duty of care to ensure
that their bike is always in good condition. In case of doubt or uncertainty, the steelworks service or a competent
bicycle mechanic must be consulted.
