IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed, including the following:
1.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles. Always wear oven mitts or use
potholders to handle hot appliances.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord or plugs, or popper
base in water or other liquids.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
6. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
7. Do not operate any appliance if the cord is damaged. Do not use this appliance
if the unit malfunctions, if it is dropped or has been damaged in any manner.
In order to avoid the risk of an electric shock, never try to repair the Theater
Popcorn Maker yourself. Bring it to a qualified technician for examination,
repair orelectrical or mechanical adjustment. An incorrect reassembly could
present a risk of electric shock when the Theater Popcorn Maker is used.
8. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may cause injuries.
9. Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
10. Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven. Make
sure it is placed on a flat surface when in use.
12. Never leave the Theater Popcorn Maker unattended when it is plugged into an
outlet and when in use.
13. Always add raw kernels and oil to the fully assembled Theater Popcorn Maker
before turning ON.
14. Never add more than 5 oz. of kernels (125-135 grams / 2.5 scoops) into the
kettle at one time. DO NOT OVERFILL.
15. To turn the Theater Popcorn Maker OFF, Press the ON/OFF switch to OFF (O).
Then remove plug from wall outlet.
16. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
17. Extreme caution must be used when removing popped popcorn. Be very
cautious when emptying popcorn from the popping kettle to avoid burns from
the kettle or from residual oil.
18. Do not leave this appliance unattended during use.
WARNING:
Do not pop kernels without oil. To avoid overheating, always add
oil first and then kernels before operating.
19. This popcorn popper will not shut off automatically.
20. Keep door closed while operating. Do not touch kettle while operating
– this area gets HOT. Kettle surface is HOT and should NOT be touched during
popping or immediately after use
