To select the start up options, do as follows:
1. From the Settings menu, select Start up options .
2. If you want to clear the logs and the Contacts at every start up, select Clear
logs/Contacts . To leave the menu, select Back .
3. If you want the IP Handset to be set up automatically when it connects,
select Auto BGAN SIP .
With this option selected, from next startup, the IP Handset will
automatically be set up with the next available user name (local number)
and password when connected to a BGAN terminal.
To leave the menu, select Back .
To disable or set automatic shut down (wireless handset only)
Per default the wireless IP Handset is set to shut down automatically if it does
not receive a signal from a wireless access point for a certain period of time
and is outside the cradle.
To disable or set automatic shut down, do as follows:
1. From the Settings menu, set or remove the check mark for Automatic shut
down .
2. Use the keys


, or press Edit to select the wanted time interval
before automatic power off. You have the following choices:
• Disabled
• 2, 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes (default value: 30 minutes)
3. Select the time span.
4. Press Back to return to normal operation.
As long as the handset sits in a powered cradle, it will not automatically shut
down.
