3.1.2  Power Control 

 

 
By selecting one of the items in the drop-down window, you can select between a 
power display in milli-Watts (mW) or in dBm. 
 

 

Pressing the Laser On / Laser Off button will switch the laser diode ON or OFF.  
The writing on the buttons always shows the ‘is now’-status. 
 
 
 

3.1.3  The Modulation Control 

 

 
The LS5000 allows to use three internal modulations:  

•

 Sine 

wave 

•

 Square 

wave 

•

 Triangular 

modulation 

 
The modulation frequency can be set between 0.02 and 20 kHz, 
the modulation depth between 0.1 and 100%. 100% refers to the maximum possible 
modulation at a 60% setting of the maximum output power. For larger or smaller 
current / power settings, the limits for the minimum and maximum modulation depth 
will vary.
