either weak enough or at a high enough frequency for the resonance not to be

troublesome. With other actuators the resonance peak is very significant and needs

to be eliminated for operation in a stable closed loop system. The notch filter is an

adjustable electronic anti-resonance that can be used to counteract the natural

resonance of the mechanical system.
