For DVDs, Video CDs and Audio CDs
Playing DVDs, Video CDs and Audio CDs, you can hear virtual surround sound as if from rear speakers (even
if you use only a stereo TV or a two-channel stereo system).
Virtual 3-D Surround Sound
on the player's front display

Press PLAY to start playback.

Press
surround
key on the top left hand side
of the remote control, (or on the unit itself)
to display the 3-D surround sound key.
Press the
arrows to change the setting.
•
Virtual Surround sound may not be so impressive with some
discs.
•
Turn off the TV set surround sound and other surround effects
(HiFi system) when using this virtual surround system.
•
For optimum effects it is recommended that the distance
between the TV set and the listening position should be
about 3 or 4 times the distance between the left and the right
hand front speakers.
•
3-D surround does not work with LPCM or DTS sound tracks
of DVD discs, or with DTS track of Audio CDs.
•
3-D surround works with Audio CDs.
•
3-D appears also in the front panel display of the player.
•
This feature only operates for Audio output from the Analog
Audio out and (via Scart). It will not operate for
Audio output from the Digital Out (coaxial / optical).

Select the part of the scene you want to zoom, with

ok to zoom in :
• For DVDs by pressing OK repeatedly, you zoom-in x2 times /
x4 times / back to normal.
• For video CD by pressing OK repeatedly you zoom-in x2
times / back to normal.
This function works also in Pause and Slow motion modes.
