The Domain name can be viewed or modified. To modify the
Domain Name simply enter a new name, i.e.
yourdomain.com
. The
next time the Tisio device is rebooted the new domain name will be
activated.
Network Adapter Settings
The Network Adapter Settings allows configuration of all TCP/IP
Network parameters. The network parameters can be automatically
assigned or statically set. Normally the IP Address, Subnet Mask,
Default Gateway, and DNS parameters are obtained via DHCP.
Adapter Name
This is the name assigned to the network interface hardware. The
Adapter Name field is automatically defined by the local hardware
configuration and can not be changed by the user.
Getting an IP Address via DHCP
By default the “Getting an IP Address via DHCP” is set so at initial
boot the Tisio thin client will try broadcast on the local subnet to
automatically obtain all TCP/IP address settings. This includes the
IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Domain name and DNS
host.
When unchecked the TCP/IP address settings below for the Tisio
thin client become active enabling them to be manually entered.
Note
Assigning the same IP address to more that one TPC/IP
network attached device can cause loss of data. Your
network administrator is responsible for assigning the
proper network addressing so each device will properly
communicate over your network.
IP Address
This defines the address use on the local TCP/IP network. Use this
field to manually enter an IP Address. An example IP address is;
192.168.1.22
