Tisio User’s Guide
Advanced Network Settings
The advanced network setting allows for manual setup of Domain
Name Service (DNS) hosts. Use these settings to set the Primary
and Secondary DNS server names providing domain name lookup
on your local area network. The IP address of the DNS server must
be used; not the host name of the primary and secondary DNS
servers.
Note
When using the Tisio local IE Web browser the DNS setting
must be properly configured to allow for World Wide Web
URL host name lookups.
Advanced Network Utilities
The advanced network utilities “ipconfig”, “ping” and “wzctool”
allow administrators to diagnose network related issues. Select the
Usage button to see the command line options available for these
commands. Enter a command in the top entry box and click on the
Run button.
Security Tab
The Security window provides settings to block access to all local
settings and configurations. Setting a password here will require a
password to be entered to change any setting under the Terminal
Properties window. If “Disable the Configure tab” is checked the
Configure tab is not displayed in the Connection Manager window.
So users are unable to edit or create new connections.
Device Manager Tab
The Device Manager window provides settings to specify the Tisio
management server also known as the Tisio Device Manager. The
Tisio Device Manager provides administrators a simple and easy
tool to perform remote management for all Tisio thin client
configurations.
