IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed including the following:
• To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug
or unit in water or any other liquid.
• Never leave the appliance unattended while in use.
• Do not touch hot surface. Use handle and knobs where provided.
Use oven gloves when necessary.
• Connect the appliance to an earthed socket.
• Do not let the main cords hang over the edge of a table, or touch hot
surfaces.
• Place the appliance on a stable, flat surface and away from overhanging
kitchen cupboards.
• Never put the rice pot on stove tops or in ovens.
• Do not switch the appliance ON until the ingredient is in the rice pot
and is ready for cooking.
• Keep your hands and face at a safe distance from the appliance as
hot steam and evaporation occurs during cooking. Do not touch the
lid or appliance during the operation.
• Do not use appliance other than for the intended use.
• This appliance is intended for household use only.
• Do not use outdoors. Do not allow this unit to be exposed to rain or
moisture.
• Do not keep the food warm in the appliance for more than 12 hours.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after
the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner.
• Do not use any accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer.
They could constitute a danger to user and damage to the appliance.
