Getting Started Guide
Installing the keyboard application:
Windows users:
Connect your Palm OS device to a computer using the HotSync cradle or cable.
Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive on your PC and follow the on-screen directions to
complete the installation.
The keyboard application will be installed during you next HotSync.
Mac users:
Connect your Palm OS device to a computer using the HotSync cradle or cable.
Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive on you Mac and navigate to
Bluetooth>Palm>English>Driver
and double click on the
keyboard.pre
file.
The driver will be installed during your next HotSync.
Configuring the keyboard:
1. After reset, tap the Keyboard icon on the Application page.
2.
Place the keyboard in
Discoverable mode
by simultaneously pressing the
<Ctrl> <Left Fn>
<Right Fn>
keys on the Stowaway Universal Bluetooth keyboard. This is indicated by the
Keyboard Status Light (above the "T" key). flashing green once per second.
3. To setup a
Secure
connection.
a. Check the
Secure
box and tap
Connect.
b.
When prompted check
Add to Trusted Device List
and enter a numeric-only
passkey
of your own choosing using Graffiti and tap
OK.
c.
Type the same
passkey
on the keyboard using LFn+number and Enter.
4.
To setup an
Unsecure
connection.
a.
Tap
Connect
and when prompted press 123 on the keyboard to confirm the connection.
NOTE:
This configuration is not encrypted and is vulnerable to eavesdropping.

Quick Start Guide
Installing the keyboard application:
Method 1:
Sync a connection between the computer and your Symbian UIQ mobile device using
the phone"s sync cable.
Obtain the driver from either the CD included with your keyboard or download ii from

su&l=en&t=dr
Launch the .SIS file to begin installation.
After the driver is successfully installed, the keyboard driver icon will show up in the
Applications
list.
Method 2:
Launch the installation from a Flash Memory card.
Transfer the .SIS file to a memory card.
Navigate to the location the file was saved to on the memory card.
Launch the .SIS file to begin installation.
Be sure to install the driver to
Phone Memory.
Method 3:
Beam the driver via Infrared or Bluetooth.
A. Right click the .SIS file.
B. Select
Send To
Bluelooth device and find your device in the list.
C. Keyboard driver will appear in the phone's
lnbox.
D. When prompted select
Yes
then
Install.
Configuring the keyboard:
After installation, open the phone
Applications
list.
Scroll to and select
Stowaway keyboard.
Place the keyboard in
Discoverable mode
by simultaneously pressing the
<Ctrl> <Left Fn>
<Right Fn>
keys on the Stowaway Universal Bluetooth Keyboard. This is indicated by the
Keyboard Status Light (above the "T' key), flashing green once per second.
At the
Status
tab, select
Enable BT.
Connection and Scanning to discover the Bluetooth
Stowaway keyboard
should begin within a few seconds.
