Accordingly, non-contact thermography using an infrared the FevIR Cam and FevIR
Cam cannot guarantee that subjects detected with raised skin temperatures will
have a fever (raised internal body/core temperature) nor that subjects with a fever
will have a raised internal body/core temperature.
This means that the system is a tool for remotely sensing surface skin temperature.
It is not a medical instrument and it is not a diagnostic tool for identifying the
presence or incubation of any disease. Operators should use FevIR Cam as an aid for
selecting people for additional monitoring where febrile conditions can be diagnosed
by a person qualified to do so.
