The Blackbody Temperature Reference Tab
The Reference tab refers to the Calibration Reference Source parameters. The
Calibration Reference Source temperature is typically set to 35.0°C (mid-range).
This tab does not change the settings of the Calibration Reference Source itself, this
must be done directly on the unit using the digital programmer on the side. Its value
must be entered onto this tab. When the FevIR Cam 2 system starts the software
monitors the temperature in reference marker area for stability and does not allow
alarm Scanning to be done until it is stable or if it should vary during operation.
The emissivity is a property of the instrument and should not be altered from the
value of 0.97. Background refers to the ambient temperature and an accuracy of
3°C - 4°C is sufficient.
