MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
•
Always disconnect the power before cleaning, ore activate cleaning mode.
•
The hood must be cleaned regularly to ensure optimal operation and long service life.
•
Grease and dust debris collect in the filter and may risk igniting with insufficient cleaning.
•
The hood should be cleaned inside and out frequently to avoid grease stains on walls or other surfaces.
Le Mont has a cleaning mode that can be activated when the surface of the hood is to be cleaned, in order to prevent the hood to be acti-
vated. The hood must be turned off in order to activate cleaning mode. Activate the icon On/off hood with a long touch until all icons will be
backlit. All functions will be locked and the hood cannot be activated.
Activate the icon on/off hooed with a long touch until the light in the icons turn off, in order to turn off cleaning mode.
DAILY CLEANING
•
For cupboard-integrated, free-hanging and wall-mounted hoods, Thermex recommends that the grease filter be wiped with a damp cloth after
each cooking session. It requires very little effort every day to keep your cooker hood clean and effective.
•
Steel surfaces are cleaned with a damp cloth and detergent, and finished with a metal polish (can be purchased with the item number
499.99.9999.9).
•
Lacquered surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth with detergent/washing-up liquid. Never use abrasives.
CLEANING THE GREASE FILTERS
This hood has a filter indicator that lights up after 30 hours of use. The filter alarm must be reset manually. This is done by holding one finger
down on the indicator for approximately 5 seconds until the light is turned off on the indicator.
A time-based filter indicator is intended only as a guide for when the filters in a hood need cleaning, as how often depends greatly on the use
of the hood. Thermex recommends as a minimum that the filter is cleaned at the following intervals, depending on the fat used for frying, in
order to ensure the best possible use of the hood:
•
Frying margarine - filter cleaned every 3 weeks
•
Liquid margarine - filter cleaned every 2 weeks
•
Oil - filter cleaned once per week
•
Deep fat frying - filter cleaned 2-3 times per week
The grease filters are cleaned in the following way:
•
Push the hood up so that it is raised 40 cm over the worktop.
The filters can also be washed in the dishwasher. Please note, however, that machine washing can result in discolouration of the filters.
Discolouration of the filters does not affect performance.
REPLACING THE RECIRCULATION FILTERS
If recirculation filters are used, these cannot be washed, but must be replaced when needed.
