sert Red Hat 7.3 CD-ROM #1 into the CD-ROM drive and boot from it.

Under software packages, select

Skip X configuration (see following section).

Begin the installation. Installation of software packages will start and, even-
tually, you will be prompted for CD-ROM #2.

Reboot the system when the installation is completed.
2.3.3.3 X Windows Configuration
X Windows, or X11, is the windowing system used by Linux. At this point, it is
important to enter all the information about the graphics card and monitor being used
by the system. As an example, the following describes the configuration process for
a system with an NVidia GeForce 4 and Sony multiscan CDP 240 monitor.
1.
Run
Xconfigurator
. Select the generic frame buffer and generic screen.
2.
Start X Windows with the following command:
# startx
Note:
Set the internet connection with the parameters assigned by
your network administrator.
