Windows 7 and Vista
1. Select “Control Panel” from the “Start” menu.
2. Click on “Hardware and Sound”, Select “Sound.”
3. Select “Playback” tab,
• From “Speakers”, select the desired speakers or sound device and set as default.
This will change the “Default device” from “Wireless Baby Monitor” to the
appropriate device for your computer.
4. Select “Recording” tab,
• From “Microphone”, select desired microphone or sound device and set as
default. This will change the “Default device” from “Wireless Baby Monitor” to the
appropriate device for your computer.
Windows XP:
1. Click on “Start”, then “Settings”, select “Control Panel.”
2. Double click on “Sounds and Audio Devices.”
3. Select “Audio” tab,
• Under “Sound playback”, change the “Default device” selection from “Wireless
Baby Monitor” to the appropriate speakers or sound card for your computer.
• Under “Sound recording”, change the “Default device” selection from “Wireless
Baby Monitor” to the appropriate microphone or sound card for your computer.
4. Select “Voice” tab,
• Under “Voice playback”, change the “Default device” selection from “Wireless
Baby Monitor” to the appropriate speakers or sound card for your computer.
• Under “Voice recording”, change the “Default device” selection from “Wireless
Baby Monitor” to the appropriate microphone or sound card for your computer.
5. After the settings have all been selected, press OK to save your changes.
Once you have reset these defaults, you should not need to do this again. Your
computer will remember these settings when using the Home & Away Portable Digital
Video Monitor.
On Screen Display
The indicators, controls, and video display you’ll see on your computer screen
will be quite similar to those on the Parent Unit itself, with two significant
additions. Home and Away Portable Digital Video Monitor software allows you
to capture and save both still images and record video.
Instant Help
Use your mouse to hover over any button; an explanation of that button’s
function will be displayed in a pop-up window.
