OPERATION

REAR WHEEL TREAD SETTINGS

Two widths of rear axles are available for CT435
tractors. They are standard rear axle and optional 76
inch rear axle.
The standard axle is adjustable from 45.7 to 61 inch
(116 to 155 cm). Turf tire tread settings are 53 inch
(134.5cm).

REAR WHEEL TREAD SETTINGS - Cont’d
The optional 76-inch rear axle is adjustable from 52
4 to 76 inch (133 to 193cm).
Tread width settings are made by changing the
position of the wheel discs and the rims, and by
interchanging the rims from side to side. These
various positions are shown in Figure 36 and 37.

NOTE: After changing the rear wheel tread setting,
the wheel rim-to-disc nuts and the disc-to axle nuts
should be torqued to 137-1 59 lbs.ft. (186-215 N.m).
