5-7. External Control Functions
This section describes how to assemble the external control connector.
(1)
Remove the contact for the external control connector (XG5M-2635-N:
OMRON manufacture) supplied with the unit.
Use a dedicated tool (XY2E-0001: OMRON manufacture) to remove the
contact.
Or, use a pointed stick to gently push down the prong and pull it out, making
it easy to remove the contact.
(2)
Attach a wire to the removed contact. Use a dedicated tool (XY2B-7006:
OMRON manufacture) to attach the wire and enhance its reliability. Wires
suitable for use are AWG 28, AWG 26, and AWG 24 stranded wire with a
sheath outer diameter of

1.1 mm to
φ
1.3 mm.
(3)
Reinsert the contact to which a wire has been attached. When reinserting
the contact, make sure the prong of the contact fits into the square hole of
the connector.
(4)
Attach the supplied semi covers (XG5S-1301: OMRON manufacture) to both
faces of the connector.
