5 1 Channel Output (Pre Out)
A decoded analogue multi-channel sound signal is
emitted via an analogue 5.1 output. Alternatively
you can also use the outputs for the left and right
front channels for reproduction in stereo. One
cinch cable is required per channel to connect to
an external appliance (e.g. a subwoofer with multi-
channel input), that is a total of six mono cinch
cables or three stereo cinch cables.

Front left/right: Sound outputs of the left and
right front channels

Centre: Sound output of the centre channel
Ě
Sub: Subwoofer output
(The subwoofer output reproduces the
frequency area below 150Hz).

Rear left/right: Sound outputs of the left and
right surround channels.
5 1 In
The Decoderstation 5 has an analogue 5.1 input.
You can connect the appropriate signal sources,
e.g. from a professional computer soundcard,
here and forward them to the connected sound
system.
TV · CD · Aux ·Stereo In
You can connect the stereo cinch cable (left /
right) for connection to the analogue outputs of
your stereo reproduction appliances (e.g. TV set,
CD player, video recorder etc.) here.
Optical 1 · Optical 2 (Digital In)
For connecting the decoder with a digital signal
source in optical format (Toslink). You can buy the
cable required from the Lautsprecher Teufel on-
line shop.
Coaxial 1 · Coaxial 2 (Digital In)
For connecting the decoder with a digital signal
source in coaxial format (cinch).
+ 12 V
DC in power supply from included AC wall adapter.
