There are numerous parameters in the menu functions,
which may impair or even prevent normal operation. If
your DVD receiver is behaving “unusually”, you can reset
the device to the factory settings. This resets parameters
such as speaker size or level to the default values.
To reset all parameters to the factory setting:

Remove any obstacles.
The remote control is not pointed properly. Point the remote control at the device.
Batteries inserted in the remote control with
wrong polarity.
Insert the batteries the right way around (see
diagram on the battery compartment).
Batteries in the remote control are empty.
Insert new batteries.
