29 HDMI 1 and 2
You can connect a source with
a digital audio and video signal
to each socket. For this, you will
need a HDMI cable.
Please note
You can only use these HDMI inputs if the play-
back device (TV or projector) is also connected
via HDMI.
20 Coaxial 1 + 2
You can connect the coaxial digital audio outputs of two
sources here. For this, you will need a coaxial cable with
RCA plugs for each output. In the menu, you can assign a
digital audio input to each video source (see page 14).
21 Optical 1 + 2
You can connect the optical digital sound outputs of
two sources here. You will need an optical cable with a
Toslink connector. Your source requires either an optical
3.5 mm plug or a Toslink connector as well. In the menu,
you can assign the digital audio connector input to the
various video sources (see page 14).
Connecting to a power supply
Make sure that the mains switch

To use the remote control you will need two batteries,
type micro and/or AAA with 1.5 volts (included in the
package).
Inserting batteries
Push the battery compartment

cover on the back of the remote
control towards the arrow and
remove it.
If necessary, remove the old bat-

teries (please follow the notes on
page 26).
Insert the batteries in the battery

compartment as shown in the
fi gure.
Put the cover back on the com-

partment and push it into place.
Remote control
Functionality
The remote control transmits infrared control signals. For
proper functioning, you have to point the front of the
remote control towards the DVD receiver. Make sure there
are no obstacles blocking the infrared signal.
Fluorescent and energy saving lamps installed in the di-
rect vicinity may impair the functions of the remote control
or even prevent its functioning.
