IMPORTANT SAFETY MEASURES:
•
Before operating the fan heater, check if the voltage
specified on its rating table corresponds to the
supply voltage in your home (office).
•
This appliance is intended only for the voltage
specified on its rating table.
•
The HL-254V PTC fan heater is used according to the
normal commercial practice and in accordance with
the legislation of the certain country.
•
This appliance is to be used only for what it is
intended, i.e. heating of domestic premises.
Every different use is to be considered as misuse
and hence dangerous. The manufacturer cannot
be liable for damages resulting from misuse
or irrational use. Non-compliance with these
safeguards will invalidate this appliance’s guarantee!
•
The minimum distance between the appliance and
surrounding objects is to be at least 1 meter!
•
Do not place the appliance close to a radiant heat
source!
•
Do not operate in areas where inflammable
substances are used or stored. Do not operate in
areas with inflammable atmospheres (for instance:
near flammable gases or aerosols) – a very high risk
of explosion or fire exists!
•
Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any
ventilation or exhaust opening, as this may cause
damage to the appliance or other problems.
•
Warning
: this appliance is not intended to be
operated by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety!
Young children should be supervised to ensure they
do not play with the appliance!
•
The appliance is not suitable for animal breeding
and it is intended for household use only!
•
If you touch the air outlet grille, a high risk of
burning exists! Do not touch the grille when the
heater is switched on or was recently switched off -
a risk of burning exists!
•
The most common cause of overheating is deposits
of dust or fluff in the appliance. Remove these
deposits regularly by unplugging the appliance and
vacuum cleaning the air vents.
•
Do not touch the appliance with wet hands - danger
to life exists!
•
The socket is to be accessible at any time so that in
case of need the heater can be unplugged as soon
as possible!
•
Never pull the supply cable or the heater when
removing the power plug from the socket.
•
If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced
by a service agent or a similarly qualified person in
order to avoid damage or a risk to life of the person
operating the appliance. The whole activity related
to connecting or replacing the supply cord is to be
performed by a qualified electrician!
•
It is forbidden to use an extension cord or a
connection-block when connecting this appliance
to the electrical installation
•
Do not cover or restrict airflow to the inlet or
exhaust grilles in any manner as the heater may
overheat and become a fire risk.
•
The electricity installation has to be provided with
an automatic safety fuse and the distance between
fuse’s contacts in a turned-off condition should be
at least 3 mm.
•
Grounding is forbidden! After unpacking and before
use verify that all mechanical parts and all elements
are in proper condition. If you have any doubts, do
not operate the appliance and seek advice from a
qualified electrician.
•
If the appliance gets out of order or malfunctions,
switch it off and do not repair. For any repairs you
should turn to the after-sale Service Centre. Only
there the defective part will be replaced with an
original spare part. Non-compliance with this
condition will put the appliance’s safety at risk.
•
If you decide to stop using appliances of this
type, it is recommendable to make it unusable
by cutting the cord after unplugging it. It is also
recommendable to make safe anything related to
the appliance that may pose a threat, in particular to
children who could play with the amortized device
(appliance)
•
Never leave the appliance switched on when it is
not necessary. Switch the power supply off when it
won’t be operated for a long period.
