Software to digitalize and edit your recordings is included: The program WaveLab Lite from
Steinberg is optimized for editing large files and due to its intuitive user interface is also ap-
propriate for beginners. However, customary audio software alone is not completely suitable
for tasks related to sound restoration. In addition to the normal functions like cutting, equaliz-
ing, and level adjustment other options are often needed like "de-hiss", "de-click", or "normali-
zation" as well as expanders or softeners to complete the restoration process. Last but not
least, a CD burning function would also be nice. All of these functions are contained in special-
