3.19.5 ROLLER SCRAPERS:
Roller scrapers (See Fig. #59) are offered to remove soil
buildup on belted chain rollers. Clockwise or counterclock-
wise scrapers are required, depending upon the rotation of
the roller. Make sure the beveled edge of the scraper feeds
into the rotation of the roller.
If the scraper is assembled incorrectly soil will collect under
the scraper, act as a brake and stop the rotation of the
roller. When the roller stops damage will occur to the roller
and the chain.
