Route an available power port containing the power
adapter and connect to a power source. (See Fig. #55
pg. 33). It is recommended the cord be routed away
from potential snags. Make sure the 3 AMP fuse con-
tained in the power adapter and port hole has not blown.
6.
Connect the male end of the 40’ main sensor harness
to the monitor head unit (See Fig. #56 pg. 36) and route
the cable from the tractor to the harvester.
Note:
When disconnecting the implement from the tractor
unplug from the 40’ main sensor harness from the monitor
head unit, not the splitter box on the harvester.
3.19 OPTIONS
3.19.4 SHAFT MONITOR
A rear cross shaft monitor is available to put on the rear
cross conveyor drive. This monitor alerts the operator when
the rear cross conveyor stalls and shuts down the drive be-
fore the build up causes major problems. When the alarm
sounds, shut down and check the following:
1) Check the belted chain for foreign objects lodged in it.
2) Check for a broken, loose or slipping belted chain drive.

Operation Of Shaft Monitor
The monitor has 12 buttons. With the base monitor only
channels 1 and 2 are used. The top six buttons are inde-
pendent RPM channels for up to six different shafts. The
bottom six buttons are used for control or calibration. Fur-
ther information is given below.
The monitor comes preprogrammed with the following val-
ues (channels 3 to 6 are deactivated):

The Tachometer has six independent channels labeled 1, 2,
3, 4, 5 and 6. To select a channel, press the desired chan-
nel button. When selected, the red indicator light above the
channel button will light-up.
Channel Buttons

Find a suitable location in the tractor cab for the moni-
tor head. It is recommended that the location allow easy
viewing access of the monitor.
2.
Clean the surface where the velcro is mounted to en-
sure proper adhesion.
3.
Remove the backing paper from the hook section of
velcro and place it in the desired location -- pressing
firmly to attach the velcro strip.
4.
Place the monitor head unit, containing the loop sec-
tion of velcro, onto the hook section of the velcro press-
ing firmly. The unit is mounted.
